Have you noticed that it can be easier to love our ‘neighbours’ than to love ourselves?

Are you a carer or supporting others in different pastoral settings? Maybe you are aware that, at times, you’re too busy and find it hard to make time for yourself; time to re-charge your batteries?

It can be hard to take self-care seriously, even though we encourage others to “take care!” all the time….but if we don’t find a way to build it into the midst of our busy, caring-for-others-focused lives, we can find ourselves struggling .

This mid-day workshop will focus on the importance of Self-Care for those of us involved in caring for and supporting others. Among other things, attendees will have chance to try some simple ‘body-mindfulness’ practices that can be used as a form of body-prayer, offering a gentle way to get started with better self-care.
