Julian: a Life of Love, Contemplated
Julian of Norwich (1342-c.1416) is known through her book about the spiritual life, The Revelations of Divine Love. She was probably the first woman to write a book that has survived in English.
She was an anchoress at a church in Norwich for most of her life and was a spiritual counsellor, approached by many for advice. Her society was afflicted by plague, poverty and famine but her writing is full of hope and trust in Divine goodness.
The Quiet Day will open up her life and story as a resource for participants to incorporate into their own prayerful reflection and spiritual journey.
The day will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Reserve your place below. The cost is £18, payable in advance and participants (maximum 15) are invited to bring their own lunch.
