Capriccio’s theme can be summarized as ‘Which is the greater art - poetry or music?” It tells the story of a Countess torn between two suitors: one a composer, one a poet. Caroline and the Guild will ponder this creative dilemma as they lead the audience through fine examples of both arts from the Classical, Operatic, Musical Theatre and Pop repertoires.

The Guild of Strings was formed in April 2017, with the ambition to perform the vast repertoire of beautiful string music in exciting and innovative ways to audiences across the North of England.
