Advent Quiet Day led by Graham Pigott.
This quiet day will explore four movements in Mary’s experience as she became the mother of Jesus. There will be four meditative talks, each followed by periods of quiet for personal reflection and prayer, with suggestions and questions to ponder
Mary, as Mother of Jesus, can offer us a model for being Christian, for receiving and carrying the gift of Christ Jesus within us as we wait for his final Advent. For this reason she is sometimes called ‘the first Christian’, being the first person in whom Christ dwelt within. What a surprise, what a gift, and what a joy! Yet it was costly too; bewildering, mind boggling, faith-stretching, and involved accepting travail and testing realities that she never chose yet were deeply earthed in how God desired to reveal his purposes.
Cost of the day is £18, drinks provided, please bring your own lunch.
